How to Make a Customized Pin-back Button

Pin-back buttons are badges or buttons, normally round-shaped that can be easily fastened to a garment's surface by the use of safety pins, a wire, tape, or any other form of sticking materials.

Pinback buttons are often used as promotional paraphernalia. You may see this during election campaigns wherein running candidates' faces are shown on the buttons. You can also use pinback buttons in campaigning for something or even school activities. It's very easy to wear - just use the safety pin and it will already be locked on your shirt or any forms of garments. These pinback buttons also come in different sizes and sometimes shapes, depending on your design. Though the most common shape is circle, you can also use square or other shapes.

Pinback button is also a work of art. Therefore, you can also do it on your own and even customize your designs depending on your preference. So how do make your own customized pinback button?

First of all, you need to know your theme and purpose. If the purpose is for election campaign, you should have taglines from your candidates or you may use their faces or names to be placed as the design of the button. Once you know your theme, you need to know how to use computer software that will help you in your design. Creativity is a must during your designing stage. Once you have drafted your design, you can choose the paper to be used in the printing of the Customized Buttons.

You may want to use a paper sticker for easier assembly of the pinback or a colored paper. Once your printed designs are available, that should have been shaped the way you want it, the next thing to do is find a hard paper or board to serve as the solid part wherein your design will be attached to. A cardboard can be of great use. You can paste the design directly on the surface of the cardboard and cut it by tracing the shape of the design. Once you're done, you can already attach your safety pin at the back of the cardboard using glue or tape.

You can also buy ready-made pinback buttons that don't have designs yet. The only problem is that the size of the button may not fit well with your design unless you buy the Customized Buttons first.

For faster and more accurate customized designs, you can just have it ordered. Bookstores often have this kind of service but you may also find these shops anywhere.
